Dead Stars: “The forbidden love”

Love is unexpected. It will come to our life and leave us thought that was clueless. But even if love is unexpected, we learn how to manage it. It will teach us to do what should we do even if it will hurt our feelings. Love is a part of our life where we learn how we protect ourselves from hurting and at the same time sacrifice our own happiness for the decisions that we make.

Dead Star is a love story about a man named Alfredo Salazar, who has his fiance in the person of Esperanza and they have been engaged for a quite some time. Alfredo is son of Don Julian and already engaged with Esperanza. He is a wise, brave man, because he made a decision which he truly knew that it will also hurt himself. Esperanza is just a quite woman who didn’t know that her future husband is already fell in love with another girl. Julia knows her limitations. And that was the best part of her. She didn’t follow her feelings. Even if he obviously falling in love with Alfedo, instead of tolerating herself, she just make distance to the couple, Alfredo and Esperanza.

The long time engaged man Alfredo, met Julia, the sister-in-law of the judge. He knew that he felt something for her, a feeling that he will fell in love with this girl. But Alfredo is engaged with Esperanza, and they are just waiting for the time of the wedding. Even if he want to be with Julia, he has the obligation to be with Esperanza. And that was what we called, forbidden love. Alfredo love Julia but he is already engaged with Esperanza.

The best thing that Julia did, is keeping herself apart to the couple. She don’t want to ruin the wedding, because she is also a girl. She knows what does it feel when the boy you love, is slowly falling inlove with other girl. Alfredo also looked forward to this. He finalize his decision that he will pursue marrying Esperanza, even the exchange of it is that, he will never be with Julia should not love Julia anymore.

Dead Stars symbolizes a dream of something that is non-existent at all. Alfredo loved Julia. She was his dream, the star that he want to achieve. But like a dead star, that is so far away, whose shine could actually be the leftover travelling light from it, he was so far getting the girl that he love. And the love that he thinks will be possible for them, never was.

Before I tell you my experiences here in Max’s, let me introduce to you first this restaurant.

Max’s Restaurant’s beginnings started in 1945, after World War II. Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford – educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Because of this friendship, the soldiers regularly visited Maximo’s nearby home for a drink or two. Later on, the troops insisted that they pay for their drinks. This prompted Maximo to open a cafe, where the troops could enjoy food and drinks.

Over the years, Max’s Restaurant’s popularity grew and it became known as “THE HOUSE THAT FRIED CHICKEN BUILT.” It has expanded in Metro Manila, Southern and Northern Luzon, Cebu, and to California and other places in the United States. It has also expanded to Canada. It will soon open restaurants in other countries as well.

Max’s Restaurant has established itself as a household name in the Philippines, an institution, and a proud Filipino tradition. The second and third generations of the family continue to zealously uphold the standards and traditions set by Maximo and Ruby for all Max’s Restaurants.

Max’s Restaurant is one of the best restaurant that I’ve tried. Everytime that me and my family is going out to the mall and we are about to eat, Max’s is always at our choices. One of the best things in this restaurant is their place.

Their place is simple but then, by this simple designs you will be comfortable to eat. That’s what I feel everytime we eat in here hehe. Next thing is their service. Although you have to wait such time to eat what you have ordered, the long wait is worth it! They will serve you all the foods that you ordered with complete utensils.

Last but not the least is their food. Max’s is very popular because of their well known chicken cuisine. But surprisingly not only the chicken of this restaurant is delicious, but also the different food of the Philippines. They have Pork Sinigang, Sinigang na Hipon, Lechon Kawali and many more! They also have their delicious desserts! Eating in this restaurant is so satisfying! I am confidently recommending this restaurant to all of you guys! You will not repent eating in Max’s Restaurant!
